7 Billion Sexual Orientations: Carol will speak about sexual orientation issues, especially bisexuality, sexual identity, and the notion that identity may not be cast in stone for everyone, but rather is more fluid. She co-edited a book called "PoMoSexuals" about the latter idea: that some people are not either/or in either their sexual orientation or gender identity. This book won a Lambda Literary Award (main book award for the lesbian and gay community). Her erotic novel "The Leather Daddy and the Femme" addresses these issues through the sexualities of the characters; it won a Firecracker Alternative Book Award for Best Sex Book.

Carol Queen (http://www.carolqueen.com/pages/queen.htm) is a writer, speaker, educator and activist with a doctorate in sexology. First as an organizer in the lesbian/gay community, where she helped found one of the first gay youth groups in the United States, and later in the emerging international bisexual community, as a sex worker and a practitioner of alternative sexualities, she typically teaches and writes from her own experience and that of her communities even as she references academic thought on these subjects. Carol Queen's work has been published in many periodicals and has been widely anthologized, and she has several books in print.
